Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST) is a leading international capacity building organization. Our initiatives focus on Energy, Environment & Water, SME and Industry Competitiveness, Food and Health Services, Human Rights, Democracy and Governance and People’s Development.

Our regional presence in Asia, strong global network and successful collaboration with funding agencies help us effectively implement initiatives addressing our priorities in South Asia, Southeast Asia, China and Africa. Some of the funding agencies we have worked with are the European Union, United Nation Environment Program (UNEP), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), USAID, International Finance Corporation (IFC), GIZ, and DEG.

MISSION STATEMENT

ASSIST aims to achieve and witness meaningful changes to and for our planet and the people living in it. ASSIST works towards the development and protection of the economic, social and environmental conditions of the society by employing innovative and sustainable practices.

• To develop and protect the economic, social and environmental conditions of the society by employing innovative and sustainable practices.
• To leverage on technology as enabler/driver of change.
• To unite and capacitate key stakeholders to address societal and environmental problems.
• To mobilise the public sector, the private sector as well as the civil society as equal partners in attaining meaningful change.

OUR APPROACH

Any change starts with an inception of an idea among a group of focused individuals. This idea is realized by spreading awareness, bringing the stakeholders and target groups on board and empowering them to address the prevailing issues and be agents of change.

Under our Partner to Progress philosophy, we link up with other organizations to reach our goals: Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation.

We utilize the triple C approach: Communicate – Collaborate – Capacitate.

Communicate. Address the problem and dovetail the solution based on the needs.
